About thirty years ago, Alice began her painting journey in Orange County, Ca. She started oil painting with adult education classes and progressed to classes at a neighborhood gallery for ten years. After that she explored different media…drawing, watercolor and pastel.
After retiring as an accountant and moving to Gardnerville, Nevada, she began pursuing art seriously by participating in classes and workshops. She has studied with the following artists: Kate Aubrey, Thaleia Georgiades, Hisako Guest, Jane Hofstetter, Reiko Hervin, Irene Lester, Luverne Lightfoot, Lady Jill Mueller, Margot Schulzke, JanicePowell Shedd, Mark Tompkins, and Lian Zhen. She enjoys painting nature, landscapes, animals (especially cats), birds and butterflies in pastel and watercolor.
She is a member of the Tahoe Art League amd is currently showing her art at the East Fork Gallery, Markleeville Art and Soul, and the TAL Gallery in South Lake Tahoe.
